With specific expertise from 25 years in senior front-office banking and digital roles, I co-founded Finsmart to fulfil an explicit need to digitally connect banks, issuers and investors in primary capital markets.

I am passionate about delivering uniquely designed, secure, digital solutions that enable collaboration, enhance transparency and facilitate data accessibility across multiple capital market verticals. My commitment is to keep listening to our clients’ needs delivering the innovative digital solutions that add measurable value to their day to day business.

Guillaume has over 20 years of experience in global capital markets, including more than 15 years in Debt Capital Markets origination. Formerly Head of Emerging Market DCM for Europe and Africa at HSBC, he led over 200 bond transactions worldwide, from large benchmark deals to private placements. Over a decade on HSBC’s EM DCM desk, he organised and managed investor roadshows globally, gaining deep insight into live deal execution and investor engagement. A DCM specialist, Guillaume understands how small improvements in execution processes can drive significant efficiency and value. Through Finsmart’s tools DealPro and IRPro, he applies this expertise to deliver a digital platforms designed to optimise primary market deal execution.

My focus as chief technology officer is to deliver innovative, secure, technology solutions in the finance sector, delivering enhanced working practices.

Having 25+ years of technology expertise in the finance sector, I have devised and implemented many secure, scalable, high performance multi-stream multi-platform systems that have also been rolled out for use across mobile platforms.

To create DealPro, I have translated the needs of all stakeholders in Debt Capital Markets onto one secure digital platform. The application will also be available across mobile platforms and will revolutionise deal execution processes creating significant efficiencies and optimising returns.

By combining operational rigour with the Finsmart team’s banking insight, IRPro sets a new benchmark for digital roadshows delivering clarity, control, and confidence for banks, issuers, and investors.

Jean-Marc recently concluded his 26 year tenure at HSBC, where he was initially responsible for a number of European Syndicate roles before becoming Global Head of Syndicate and then Global Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets. Responsible for the firm’s global franchise, he was involved in numerous debt issuances and other high-profile transactions across the globe and across a variety of issuers and products. His most recent role was Vice Chairman, Capital Markets, where he focused on selected high value clients and geographies in addition to leading HSBC's Capital Markets Technology strategy globally.

Jean-Marc was a Board member at the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) for 5 years, and its Deputy Chair from May 2018 to July 2022.

Etienne brings invaluable knowledge and expertise to Finsmart with his decades of experience across capital markets as an issuer, and having managed billions of deals of transactions.

Étienne has held several positions as Head of Funding and Treasury amongst which at Suez and previously, at Société du Grand Paris (SGP) where he established the financing team and implemented the first 100% Green EMTN Program. This enabled the financing of the Grand Paris Express, a critical infrastructure project to improve daily transportation in the Paris region.

Previously, Etienne spent 13 years successively at RFF then SNCF Réseau as funding Officer then Head of Treasury Operations. He is a member of the AFTE (Association Française des Trésoriers d’Entreprise) where he is an active participant in the Financing Committee as ESG referent.

Niklas has over 20 years in successfully leading international banking teams alongside significant experience from the start-up world.

After an early career at SEB and BNP Paribas, Niklas went on to lead a number of top ranking teams across Debt Capital Markets and Banking Coverage during his 14 year tenure at Barclays, being instrumental in building the bank’s Nordic and Dutch franchises in particular - with client coverage including blue chip corporates, financial institutions and public sector organisations - and also in successfully establishing the first Nordic office for Barclays in Stockholm.

More recently, Niklas acted as both strategic advisor and investor for various start-ups across regions and sectors, including financial / medical-tech, in addition to representing the Swedish based infrastructure firm JB Charge as co-founder and partner. Niklas has also held board positions in a family owned manufacturing company and the British Swedish Chambers of Commerce.
